I try to keep this list current. Please let me know if you find that any of this information needs to be updated or changed.

Why do I include a list of midwives on my site and not obstetricians? Because midwives are trained in supporting normal birth, and obstetricians are trained to intervene. While intervention is often helpful for a high-risk pregnancy, normal birth is usually healthy and does not require routine, unnecessary interventions. Midwives have the same good outcomes as OBs while using fewer interventions, including cesarean section, and offering better support to mothers.
