My name is Chandra Stewart. I am a birth doula based in York, Nebraska. I provide professional labor support to women in York and all surrounding communities, including Lincoln, Hastings, and Grand Island.

Announcements & Upcoming Events:

 I am involved with a group called Nebraska Friends of Midwives and serve on their Board of Directors as treasurer. We are currently working to get laws passed in Nebraska that will allow Certified-Nurse Midwives greater freedom of practice, including the ability to attend homebirths. For more information on this legislative effort and how you can help, please visit the NFoM website.

York La Leche League (breastfeeding support and information) meets the third Tuesday of every month at Kilgore Memorial Library, from 7-9 PM. Babies and expectant mothers are welcome to attend!

We are happy to announce the birth of our daughter, Mackenzie Desirae, who was born at home on September 9th. In order to spend time with our newest family member,  I will not be accepting clients due before February 1, 2010. During this time I will still be available to answer questions, and would be happy to make referrals to nearby doulas!
