Announcements & Upcoming Events:

I will be co-teaching a Lamaze Childbirth class running July 27th through August 17th. This will be a fun, interactive four-week class, designed to help prepare women to have a healthy birth. We will focus on comfort measures, relaxation, and avoiding interventions, and both first-time and experienced parents will benefit. This class is required as part of my Lamaze certification process, and because of this the cost will only be $20.00 per couple. Take advantage of this low fee and sign up today! York La Leche League (breastfeeding support and information) meets the third Tuesday of every month at Kilgore Memorial Library, from 7-9 PM. Babies and expectant mothers are encouraged to attend!

I am involved with a group called Nebraska Friends of Midwives and serve on their Board of Directors as Treasurer. We are currently working to get laws passed in Nebraska that will allow Certified-Nurse Midwives greater freedom of practice, including the ability to attend homebirths and open birth centers.
